Combining deep bass tones with melodic overtures to produce a sonic universe, Ott never ceases to put on a brimming-with-weirdness show that the crowd can’t help but dance to. Known for his contributions to the genre of psychedelic dub; a combination of intense creativity, hypnotic trance and seclusion in the woods has resulted in Ott.’s experimental musical product, the highlight of which was Fairchildren, his newest album dropped this year.
Packing the Fox Theatre to the brim with colorful masses Thursday night, Ott produced visual artistry to accompany his abstract sound by featuring on-stage live painting and a hula dancer. Not only was this show an auditory journey, but as the show progressed the crowd has the pleasure of watching a painting form before their eyes.
Finishing his fall tour in San Francisco, Ott will once again return to Colorado as Ott and the All-Seeing I, a four piece group which spins Ott’s electronic sound into an orchestral live band. Catch them opening up for Papadosio on May 7th, the first scheduled show for next year’s season at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
