The Northern Empty played to a packed Lost Lake Lounge last week, in celebration of the release of their LP, "Suzie."
It's easy to see why the band has gained popularity throughout Colorado, with their fusion of folk undertones and bright pop and rock-influenced melodies. Nick Anderson leads with vocals and guitar, while Brendan Schuster on piano and Cooper Leith on drums really help ground the sound and provide a platform for the bluegrass feel supplied by the violinist, Raven Underwood, and mandolinist, Erik Fellenstein. Not to be missed-- the record also boasts the talent of Trevor Ford and Cooper Leith on bass throughout a number of songs. With such a diverse and highly talented group of performers, it wasn't long until the band's LP reached #25 on the iTunes Top Album chart for Singer/Songwriters.
It's clear that this blossoming band is headed for great heights-- "Suzie" is available for purchase on iTunes and TheNorthernEmpty.com, as well as streaming on Spotify.
