Milky Chance is a popular German band that has spent the past year basking in their worldwide popularity and ever-expanding success.
The combination of intricately gorgeous lyrics, thoughtful guitar riffs, and raspy yet honest vocals, make for the unique and incredible sound that Milky Chance has introduced us to.
Last night at their sold-out Red Rocks show, Milky Chance proved to be more than just impeccable recording artists but even greater live performers.
Lead singer, Clemens Rehbein, had stage presence so immense it showed how much he loves what he does. Not to mention the harmonica player, Tony, whose solos took the show in a whole new direction. The addition of the harmonica enhanced the sounds in a way the crowd had not expected.
The band’s mellowed-out acoustic track from the album, “Loveland”, was proof of the harmonica’s importance and the band’s ability to make a song truly come alive during a show. The building intensity and volume of Clemens’s vocals and Tony’s harmonica created a lasting impression on the night.
Finishing off their set with their hit “Stolen Dance” had the entire amphitheater on their feet dancing and singing alongside the band. It was like there were sparks of passion flying throughout Red Rocks as Rehbein sang.
Milky Chance’s performance will be hard to beat in the Red Rocks shows to come, as it was truly a magical evening on the rocks.
