Denver’s alt-pop artist Iolite has released a stunning music video for her song “Bloodstream.”
Crave asked Iolite a few questions about the inspiration behind the video and what fans can expect to see at her show tonight at the Marquis Theatre in Denver alongside 888 and Redlands.
What inspired the “Bloodstream” music video?
The music video for “Bloodstream” was directed by Sean Hagwell and his team. The song is very dark and eerie, and we wanted to express those same emotions in the video. Throughout the video the man walks through a house, and I represent the “ghost” that always follows him. We wanted to show how someone the man loves is not physically there anymore, but emotionally is still there haunting him.
Where was the video recorded?
The video was shot at a beautiful 3 story loft in downtown Denver.
You have a show coming up tonight at the Marquis Theatre in Denver. What can fans expect to see at the show?
The Marquis show on Friday will be my 2nd show as IOLITE, and I am so stoked for it. I feel so blessed to be a part of such a great music scene here in Denver and I’m really looking forward to supporting Redlands and 888, and celebrating 303 day together. Since I only have a few songs out so far, I’ll be playing music that isn’t out yet. I’m just stoked to play new music for people and have them jam with me. I want people to walk out of my shows feeling excited and inspired. I hope this show does just that.
