Rising group Greensky Bluegrass opened their sold out show with a special treat for their Boulder fans. The acoustic ensemble kicked off the night with a fan favorite and crowd pleaser, “Take Cover”
The audience was immediately sucked into a glowing frenzy, as the spotlights bounced back and forth between each member of the group. The five of them were able to so accurately showcase each of their unique talents and instruments.
It has been said that Greensky has a sound that cannot be simply classified in a single genre such as bluegrass. Bluegrass’s sound is far more intricate; pulling in great rock n’ roll influences. By the looks of the smiling faces in the audience, the group seemed to effortlessly fuse each of their solo jam sessions back together into a collective, light way. Greensky carried the crowd along with their sound the entire way.
There was nothing simple about Greensky’s latest visit to Boulder, Colorado. The timing and selection of each song on the set list was well manicured, giving the audience some time to catch their breath before they could take it away again. The entirety of the show and environment created by these five musicians, was engaging and thoughtful.
There is no wonder these guys have created such an incredible following of dedicated and loving fans.
